For a start, I would like to use btrfs as a "dumb" filesystem which supports data checksums without using its advanced features such as RAID, subvolume snapshots, send/receive, etc. WebBtrfs, unlike ext4 or XFS, can actually detect data corruption and tell you about it, which is where a lot of the "btrfs ate my data" complaints come from -- on any other filesystem the user wouldn't have noticed until their system stops working, at which point the cause is obvious. The rest mostly come/came from using unstable RAID features.
