Web20 de nov. de 2016 · Svchost.exe Crazy High CPU Usage and Crazy High Memory Usage Sometime my CPU usage is 25% when doing essentially nothing. I just woke up the PC & the CPU usage is at 25%. Resource Monitor shows Svchost.exe (netsvcs), PID #336, Host Process for Windows Services, CPU usage at 25%. WebOpen Task Manager and add the PID column to the Details tab. Now find the 'hot' svchost and note its PID. Then switch to the Services tab and sort by PID. This will get you down to the subset of services that rely on that particular svchost.exe. Then as u/annihilatorg mentioned, stop those one by one to see which one is the problem.

I followed the steps you posted to check if there is a virus masquerading as svchost.exe and the results came back with only one svchost.exe file and it is located in the windows\system32 folder.
