Web28 feb. 2024 · As a part of the County’s Human Services Department, LTCA is responsible for developing a comprehensive and coordinated system of services for older adults. LTCA also works to meet the needs of older adults with disabilities through the home and community-based services. WebThe majority of long-term care is provided by family members, partners, or friends. In fact, approximately 80 percent of in-home caregivers are unpaid. The United States Department of Health and Human Resources reports that one in four adults were providing some form of long-term care to an adult or child in their family in 2009.
