I never try to use the cell until the water temp constantly stays above 52 … WebI think Pentair recently changed to just simply turning off the CELL light when the chlorinator is not running (due to it being the regular off cycle or whether it is due to the water being too cold). I heard too many people associated the red light with a problem. IntelliChlor will not produce chlorine at temps under 52F.
Web20. nov 2024 · As long as the water temperature is below 52 degrees the cell will go into cold water shut off. I'm sure there is a +/- tolerance in there, so they generally don't toggle right at 52.. This shut off has nothing to do with freezing.. The cell has an internal water temperature sensor that shuts the cell off.
