It's not an old-school torque saw, but it has noticeably better torque than the 462. It might not matter as much for a bucking saw, but it's a big deal for a falling saw running longer bars. I wonder how much room for improvement there is in porting a 500i, might not be much if any, and that's a good thing in a way.
